Summer loving

With the summer heat taking over all parts of the northern hemisphere, what it calls for is dressing that combats the collossal heat waves! So the summer accessories I picked up pack a punch in more ways than one. Sorbet colours are definitely the way to go...so raise the already soaring temperatures with my picks for summer.

A Candy coloured owl, sorbet butterfly and juicy bright bracelets that will take want outfit from drab to fab! Will put up some pics once I get to wearing some of these pieces.

Statement Neckpiece

Check out this awesome pendant that i found in the back of my closet! (spring cleaning does have it's benefits!)...All i had to do was find a plain gold chain to string this pendant on and voila!! - a statement piece that can dress up a casual outfit to take it from day to night or just throw it over a simple indian chudidar and it goes well with that too!!

Where the streets teem with fashion!

Being born and brought up in the Maximum City of Mumbai, i have always found inspiration right on the streets. Take a walk down any part of South Mumbai and you will see for yourself...dresses, shirts, shoes and even bags and clutches can be found on these streets, if you just know where to look. Take the other day for instance - Here i was taking a US returned friend of mine shopping for junk jewellery at Colaba Causeway, and while aimlessly meandering through the sidelanes, we quite unexpectedly ran into this little store that sold some really pretty beaded clutches and all for less than Rs. 1000/- !!! So we just couldn't help ourselves and ended up treating ourselves to a clutch each. While Shruti loved this mother of pearl flowery clutch, i fell in lust with the beaded bling on this lil silver number!

My First Post

Well, with me being the Fashion-o-holic that i am, i have always wanted to do something in my life that revolved around this passion of mine. Starting from the many sketch books that i filled with various looks right from my childhood (much before i even knew what a look book was) to the closets filled with clothes, accessories and bags that i can't seem to let go of till this day, everything i see, read and breathe is gotta do with fashion! So here i am writing my first post of all time. Since i LOVE accessories, thought i'd share with you this REALLY pretty ring i picked up a few days back...
